Job purpose:

The Senior Low-Programming Systems Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web and mobile applications using the OutSystems Low-Programming platform. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient digital solutions.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Leading the design, development, and deployment of applications using the OutSystems platform in line with business requirements.

Building and maintaining front-end and back-end application modules while ensuring performance, scalability, and the application of best security practices.

Integrate OutSystems applications with databases, application programming interfaces (APIs), and external systems using REST/SOAP and other integration techniques.

Ensuring the quality of solutions through comprehensive testing, error correction, and performance improvement.

Active participation in Agile meetings and methodologies such as Scrum meetings, Sprint planning, and improvement and review sessions.

Applying best practices in user experience and user interface (UI/UX) in developing responsive and user-friendly applications.

Collaborating with business analysts, architects, and project managers to transform functional requirements into effective technical solutions.

Maintaining high software standards through code review and adherence to OutSystems architecture and best practices.

Developing applications according to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) approach while ensuring ease of maintenance and scalability.

Supporting and guiding junior developers, enhancing their skills development, and ensuring the quality of code within the team.

Identifying and proactively addressing technical debts and proposing improvements to the systems' architecture.

Keeping up with updates to the OutSystems platform, modern tools and frameworks, and applying innovations to improve project implementation.

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any related field.

At least 6 years of experience in application development, including at least 3 years using OutSystems.

OutSystems certification at the Professional or Expert level is a prerequisite.

Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end development in OutSystems, Service Studio, Integration Studio and Lifetime tools.

Experience in dealing with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.

Proven experience in code testing, CI/CD fonts, and version control systems such as Git.

A strong understanding of software design principles, architecture, and security best practices.

The ability to work independently and take responsibility for the outputs.

Excellent skills in analysis, error correction, and technical guidance.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
