Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end M&A transaction process, from initial pitch to deal closing, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and valuation analyses using various methodologies (DCF, precedent transactions, etc.) to determine deal feasibility and pricing.
  • Prepare detailed offering memoranda, pitch books, and other client-facing materials that effectively communicate key investment highlights.
  • Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, accounting, and other advisors to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Negotiate deal terms and conditions, including purchase agreements, with counterparties to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing strategic advice and guidance throughout the transaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes impacting M&A activity.
  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets or strategic partners aligned with client objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of fairness opinions and other valuation-related reports.
  • Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is essential for a strong foundation.
  • Possession of an MBA or relevant professional certifications like CFA is highly advantageous for career advancement.
  • Prior experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a related field is crucial.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in M&A advisory or a related field is expected.
  • Experience in a specific industry (e.g., technology, healthcare) can be a significant advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships is important.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills are non-negotiable for this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical for presenting complex information clearly.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence others are essential for deal success.
  • A proactive and results-oriented attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team is needed.
