Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Senior M&E and Policy Assistant, the M&E team leader will be responsible for performing operational assistance to the M&E operation related to primary data collection on migrants and internally displaced population.
Role objectives
The team leader tasks will be centered around:
Lead and coordinate enumerators schedule in the implementation of data collection activities across various programme interventions, including distributions, trainings, awareness sessions, community events, and focus group discussions.
Ensure accurate, reliable, and timely data collection, storage, and submission in line with monitoring and reporting standards.
Supervise and monitor enumerators performance in the field, ensuring adherence to methodologies, tools, and ethical data collection practices.
Plan and coordinate field assignments and monitoring visits, including travel arrangements and coverage of activities across different locations.
Identify and engage reliable sources of information and key informants to support data collection processes.
Support the design, testing, and regular review of data collection tools to ensure alignment with project indicators and reporting requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to enumerators and programme teams on data collection processes and tools (e.g., KOBO and other systems).
Verify and validate the accuracy and quality of data collected in the field before submission and analysis.
Ensure timely transfer and proper management of collected data, maintaining organized documentation within the M&E repository.
Support data analysis and contribute to the preparation of reports, dashboards, fact sheets, and other information products.
Ensure compliance with data protection principles and confidentiality standards, and provide regular updates and reports to the Senior M&E and Policy Assistant on field activities and findings.
Support translation of M&E data collection tools and analysis.
Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile
Experience in working with migration related issues;
Previous experience in an international, humanitarian/development organization and/or in capacity building initiatives is an advantage;
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds and respect for diversity and gender equality;
Experience preferably in an international organization. Experience with IOM or another international organization is an advantage;
Ability to pay close attention to details and work with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with a team of colleagues
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel, and good knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).
Strong knowledge of PowerBi program.
