Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Learning and teaching
- Deliver high quality teaching to students at postgraduate level
- Identify best and innovative practices in learning and teaching and build them into personal teaching practice
- Ensure that personal research, knowledge and/or experience of the field inform personal teaching practice
- Contribute actively to initiatives which identify new and best practice in teaching and learning and promote it across the faculty and institution
- Enhance student experience and outcomes
- Provide academic advice and counselling
- Liaise closely with teaching, technical and administrative staff as appropriate to ensure a quality teaching and learning environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Ability to teach one or more of the following subjects:
- Global Security
- Foreign Policy: Geopolitical Risks in a Changing World Order
- Critical Skills in Diplomatic Statecraft and Intelligence
- International Political Economy of Media
- Excellent academic qualifications in the fields of politics, international relations or any other field demonstrating exposure to and knowledge of the mentioned subjects.
- Evidence of competence in the fields through teaching and/or practice
- High level of written, oral and interpersonal skills
Desirable requirements:
- Ability to teach more than one of the above subject
- Publication record supporting competence in any of the above mentioned fields.
