Machining Technician/Setter Thales

Reporting to the production manager, you will be responsible for machining mechanical parts according to a pre-defined schedule, after additive manufacturing or block cutting, according to the instructions given by the methods teams (ranges, tool lists, programs, etc.) with the use of digital tools to optimize the balancing of additive manufacturing raw materials.

You will be responsible for the quality and repeatability of machining throughout the product lifecycle in a demanding competitive environment and for small and medium series.

More specifically, you:

• Consider the machining rework ranges based on parts produced by additive manufacturing or solid machining.
• Create the rework tooling according to the defined strategy.
• Prepare the cutting tools using a shrink-fitting bench and presetting equipment.
• Ensure the preparation and organization of the machining (setting up the 5-axis milling machine, setting the workpiece origin, adjusting the tool offset)
• Master the balance of pi these complexes
• Check the conformity of the machining using standard measuring instruments
• Participate in the rituals of sharing information and objectives
• Identify and isolate non-conforming parts

Your technical skills:

• Daily working language: French (technical, reading, writing, speaking)
• Experienced technician (more than 3 years of experience) in precision mechanics, ideally in a cutting-edge technology sector (aeronautics, nuclear, watchmaking) or in the remanufacturing of foundry parts.
• Interpretation and reading of plans and technical drawings, skills in mathematics and trigonometry
• Proficiency in Siemens language machining and probing programming software on control panel for simple tooling production operations on machine.
• Skilled and reliable in taking measurements with everyday measuring instruments: smooth pad, mesh pad, measuring column, micrometer, etc.
