Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Install, upgrade, and customize IBM and ISV software products in a multi-system z/OS mainframe environmentImplement and maintain Sysplex environments.
- Provide Automation SA/390 support.
- Proficient in SMPE/MVS Proclib and Parmlib changes.
- Skilled in performing PTF and APAR maintenance routines, including RSU maintenance.
- Knowledge of USS management
- Extensive experience with z/OS DB2 Datasharing, standalone, and Sysplex environments.
- Support 24x7 on a rotating basis for problem resolution and to ensure high systems availability.
- Utilize IBM and ISV online tools for opening and managing problem report tracking and resolution.
- Actively participate in periodic Disaster Recovery (DR) exercises and maintain DR readiness of systems.
- Monitor the status of systems to proactively prevent issues from occurring.
- Configure hardware to meet organizational goals that support both IT and business objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a z/OS Mainframe System Programmer.
- Strong knowledge of ISV software tools and Automation SA/390.
- Hands on experience in managing complex Sysplex environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with IBM and ISV online tools for problem management.
- Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various IT teams.
- Total experience: Above 8-10 years.
- Relevant experience: Minimum of 6 years in z/OS systems administration.
