Roles & Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Coordinator for Landscaping, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all landscaped areas are regularly maintained and beautified to uphold high standards of appearance and functionality. You will coordinate with a team of landscapers, schedule maintenance activities, and work closely with suppliers and other departments to ensure the timely execution of all landscaping tasks. This position requires a meticulous eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. You will oversee the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, and other horticultural aspects, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards while working within budget constraints. Your role will be crucial in delivering a welcoming and visually appealing environment for all visitors and guests.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance activities for all landscaped areas.
- Supervise a team of landscapers ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans based on seasonal requirements.
- Inspect the landscape regularly to identify and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment servicing schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors for procurement of plants and materials.
- Manage the landscaping budget and track expenses effectively.
- Provide training and support to landscaping staff as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for landscaping designs and processes.
- Attend to emergency maintenance requests with speed and efficiency.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to keep them informed of landscaping activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience coordinating landscape or facilities maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, and maintenance techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills are essential for this role.
- Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to guide the landscaping team.
- Proficiency in relevant software for scheduling and budgeting purposes.
- Flexibility to address urgent maintenance issues outside regular working hours.
