Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all metal cap manufacturing machines.

  2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC systems efficiently.

  3. Monitor machine performance, identify potential failures, and take proactive actions to reduce downtime.

  4. Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

  5. Maintain detailed maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts inventory.

  6. Coordinate with production and quality teams to quickly resolve machine issues.

  7. Support installation, commissioning, and upgrading of machines and equipment.

  8. Implement and follow safety and maintenance procedures to comply with company and regulatory standards.

  9. Train operators and junior maintenance staff on proper equipment handling and routine maintenance.

  10. Recommend process improvements and maintenance optimization to enhance machine efficiency and reduce breakdowns.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Requirements

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field.

    2. 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the metal caps or packaging industry.

    3. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.

    4. Hands-on experience with metal cap manufacturing machines.

    5. Basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC systems.

    6. Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and execution.

    7. Ability to analyze machine failures, diagnose problems, and implement solutions quickly.

    8. Good teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.

    9. Ability to work under production pressure and meet deadlines.

    10. Familiarity with high-speed automated production lines is a plus.

    Preferred Attributes:

    • Experience with ROPP caps, lug caps, or crown cap lines.

    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
