Job Description

JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the efficient and safe operation of all equipment and systems within the facility by developing maintenance strategies, analyzing breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement to reduce downtime and enhance performance.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Description Key Results Areas

• Develop and implement preventive and routine maintenance plans.
• Analyse equipment failures and recurring issues to identify root causes and provide effective engineering solutions.
• Monitor equipment performance and propose improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
• Provide technical supervision and support to technicians and contractors during maintenance activities.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Prepare technical reports, maintenance records.
• Coordinate with planning and procurement teams to ensure availability of spare parts and tools.
• Contribute to the development of maintenance policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document and track maintenance activities.
• Increase mean time between failure (MTBF)
• Reduce overall downtime
• Execution of preventive maintenance
• Equipment reliability and uptime improvement
• Root cause analysis and problem-solving
• Technical documentation and reporting
• Compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Support in maintenance planning and scheduling
• Participation in improvement and engineering projects
• Technical support and guidance to maintenance team
• Overseeing spare parts and consumables stock and follow up with related dept’s
• Preparing the machines spare parts and procuring supporting docs

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.

• Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial or facilities maintenance environment.

• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Good organizational and communication skills
• ERP and SAP.
