Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, performance, and reliability of our mono-layer and multi-layer plastic film extrusion lines. The ideal candidate must have deep technical knowledge of extrusion machines and strong leadership skills to manage a maintenance team and ensure smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform the maintenance of all extrusion lines and auxiliary equipment together with the team.
- Plan, implement, and monitor and participate in preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues on extrusion machines and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime and efficient production performance.
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers when needed.
- Implement safety, quality, and operational best practices.
- Support production teams with technical expertise and continuous improvement initiatives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintaining plastic film extrusion machines (mono & multi-layer).
- Mechanical Engineering degree and/or degree in Plastic.
- Strong technical understanding of extrusion lines, drives, heaters, cooling systems, gravimetric systems, winders, etc.
- Proven ability to manage maintenance operations independently.
- English language fluency is mandatory; French language skills are a strong plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Willing to relocate to Senegal on annual renewable contract. (Relocation & accomodation support provided)
