Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Monitor the daily progress of maintenance activities.
  • Identify and implement improvements or modifications to systems aimed at increasing the lifespan of running machines.
  • Collect recurring critical issues from subordinates and work on discussing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Follow up on critical spare parts directly with the Purchasing Department and suppliers.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget for the Mechanical Maintenance Department.
  • Maintain correspondence with suppliers to develop cost-effective spare parts and reduce overall maintenance costs.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering maintenance activities, spare parts status, downtime details, and maintenance expenses.
  • Supervise and coordinate with the Machine Shop Supervisor to manufacture spare parts in-house and reduce dependency on external suppliers.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance activities are carried out in line with the master maintenance plan.
  • Maintain close coordination with the Production Department to optimize equipment operating conditions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • A Master s degree or certifications in facilities/maintenance management is a plus.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy industry (preferably in the paper and board sector).
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Good command of the English language.
