Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Industrial Director, your mission is to structure, manage and optimize the entire preventive maintenance strategy for the site, with the aim of ensuring the reliability of the installations, reducing unplanned shutdowns and achieving sustainable improvement in industrial performance.

As part of this newly created position with significant strategic importance, you will work across departments with the Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) and Production departments, and play a key role in the preparation and management of major technical shutdowns (turnarounds).

Preventive maintenance management:

  • Define and deploy the preventive maintenance strategy across the entire site.
  • Develop and optimize maintenance plans based on critical equipment and feedback from experience.
  • Manage maintenance programs based on historical data and performance analyses.
  • Establish framework contracts with specialized suppliers and service providers.

Management of technical shutdowns (turnarounds):

  • Define the scope of scheduled stops in coordination with the various departments.
  • To manage the preparation, planning and execution of general shutdowns.
  • Ensure that objectives are met in terms of cost, time and safety.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders.

Equipment reliability:

  • Identify and analyze the root causes of failures (FMEA, fault trees).
  • Implement action plans to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Leveraging feedback to improve the reliability of installations.
  • Working on critical equipment such as pumps, compressors and complex industrial installations.

Inspection and condition-based maintenance:

  • Define and manage inspection programs for strategic equipment.
  • Leveraging data from predictive maintenance techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory controls.
  • Adapt maintenance strategies based on analysis results.

Continuous improvement and performance:

  • Optimize maintenance costs and equipment lifespan.
  • Identify deviations (spare parts consumption, field practices) and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, completion rate).
  • Contribute to the digitalization and optimization of the CMMS (SAP).

Management and cross-functional coordination:

  • Manage the activities of the Maintenance Methods Office.
  • Ensure close coordination with Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Purchasing and QHSE teams.
  • Supporting teams in a dynamic of high standards, performance and continuous improvement.
  • Establish a results-oriented and proactive culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance including 6 years in Maintenance Methods Office.
  • Expertise in preventive maintenance, planning and management of major technical shutdowns.
  • Good mastery of critical industrial equipment (pumps, compressors).
  • Mastery of CMMS tools (ideally SAP).
  • Strong skills in failure analysis and equipment reliability.
  • Strong leadership, strong personality, ability to lead across departments and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills, sense of anticipation and results orientation.
  • Mastery of French and English.
