Maintenance Section Head

Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans.

Developing and implementing maintenance strategies and procedures that minimize equipment downtime and operational disruptions.

Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to acquire high-quality services and materials for maintenance projects.

Implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance maintenance procedures and reduce costs.

Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations and staff.

Monitor equipment and systems to identify inefficiencies or potential issues.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.

Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records.

Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Production, Quality, Safety) to support operational goals.

Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring maintenance problems.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when necessary.

Train and evaluate maintenance technicians and staff.

Scheduling contractors for major repairs as required

Staying on-call and responding to emergency maintenance needs

Manage the budgets of the maintenance plans, and ensure that everything is in line with legal and safety regulations

Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering.

10 to 15years previous experience.

Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment).

Understanding basic electrical concepts.

Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, tools, and equipment and experience with rotating equipment.

Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.

Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Experience in dealing with budgets, schedules and reporting in terms of maintenance work
