Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Arabian Sea Ports Services LLC is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations of port equipment and related facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems through effective preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, supervise, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all operational equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
Coordinate daily maintenance activities and allocate resources efficiently.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment history logs.
Liaise with regular suppliers and service providers for spare parts, repairs, and technical support.
Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts and initiate procurement when required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Supervise and guide maintenance technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
Assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new equipment from a maintenance perspective.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance supervision, preferably in port operations, logistics, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems and hydraulic equipment.
Proven experience in both preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
Experience in dealing with external vendors and service providers.
Good organizational and reporting skills.
Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with port handling equipment (e.g., Hoppers, Wheeloaders, bagging systems, mobile equipment).
Basic knowledge of budgeting and cost control related to maintenance activities.
Reporting Line:
Reports directly to General Manager / Purchase Manager.
