Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance across FMCG and retail facilities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general repair works. The role ensures uninterrupted store and warehouse operations by maintaining equipment, utilities, and infrastructure in safe and efficient working conditions.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
  • Carry out plumbing works including repair of water supply lines, drainage systems, toilets, washbasins, pumps, and fittings.
  • Handle general repair and maintenance tasks such as doors, locks, shelving, flooring, ceilings, and minor civil works.
  • Maintain and repair refrigeration units, HVAC systems, lighting, generators, and electrical fixtures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing faults.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime and business disruption.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Support store openings, renovations, and equipment installations.
  • Ensure proper functioning of cold chain and utility systems.
  • Identify opportunities for preventive maintenance and cost reduction.
