Roles & Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician Lead (MTL) is responsible for the preventative, routine and emergency maintenance and repair of all DFAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions as specified in the performance work statement. Maintenance and repair services shall be provided for all food service and facility equipment to include exhaust hoods, ducts, related exhaust accessories, bakery equipment, grill equipment, refrigeration equipment, air conditioning units, electrical systems, paint, component parts, power cords, hood filters, water filters and water faucets. The MTL reports to the Site Manager.


 



Responsibilities


Major Responsibilities:


Responsible for the preventative, routine and emergency maintenance, repair, inspection and cleaning in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions on all food service and facility equipment as specified in the Performance Work Statement.

Responsible for escorting/monitoring other country national employees in accordance with the performance work statement.

Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing well maintained equipment and facilities.

Prepares and implements Equipment Maintenance Plan and preventative equipment maintenance, follow and enforces safety and performance standards.

Shall ensure work is performed in accordance to corporate and government safety and professional standards.

Identify needed parts and prepare purchase requests.

Shall provide driving and loading/unloading assistance with deliveries of supplies and water.

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities, areas and grounds.

Responsible for following a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.

Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).

Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Other requirements:


Work will be primarily indoors but may be outdoors to support various events.

Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.

Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.

Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions.

Task specific work environment training will be provided as required.

Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests.

100% Overseas Assignment.


Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:


 


Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.


Two-year vocational school certificate in maintenance technologies, electrical, refrigerant, military training or equivalent preferred.

Must have a current, valid, Section 608 Technician Certification by an EPA-approved certifying organization.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have a current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver’s License.

Must have the capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license and capable of driving a manual transmission.

Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET or Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to deployment.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.

Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.

Experience:


A minimum of three (3) years' of working within a food service facility maintenance environment.

Shall have knowledge of basic electrical principals and be able to provide knowledgeable, courteous and professional customer service.

Skills:


Good communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

Capable of using basic tools and instruments to repair, diagnose, assemble, adjust, tests and calibrate various kitchen and facility equipment.

Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements

Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred. Must have a current, valid, Section 608 Technician Certification by an EPA-approved certifying organization.
