Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, meticulously tracking dosages and observing patient reactions.
  • Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, ensuring the patient's dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, catering to specific dietary needs and preferences while encouraging healthy eating habits.
  • Provide mobility assistance, including transferring patients, using assistive devices, and encouraging gentle exercises to maintain physical function.
  • Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and promptly report any concerning changes to medical professionals.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversations, activities, and hobbies to combat loneliness and maintain mental well-being.
  • Manage household tasks, including light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and organized living environment for the patient.
  • Accompany the patient to medical appointments, providing transportation and support, and ensuring clear communication with healthcare providers.
  • Respond to emergencies and administer first aid or CPR as needed, demonstrating quick thinking and a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Maintain detailed records of patient care, including observations, medications, and activities, to ensure continuity of care and accurate reporting.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required for a facilities management company:

- Holds a diploma or bachelors degree in nursing.

- Minimum 3 years experience in attending to elderly patients.

- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays if required.

- Holds relevant certifications in healthcare or caregiving.

- Fluent in English.
