Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Produce the monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for the group.
  • Own the 12-month rolling cash flow forecast and working-capital model.
  • Set annual departmental budgets in collaboration with the founder; run variance analysis monthly.
  • Build scenario models for pricing, range planning, and channel-mix decisions.
  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and surface them to the founder with clear, numbers-backed recommendations.
  • Lead and review the work of two Dubai-based Bookkeepers.
  • Liaise with UK auditors, tax advisors and bankers.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Fully qualified ACCA, CA, CIMA or CPA preferred; exceptional part-qualified candidates with 5+ years UAE post-finalist experience also considered.
  • Strong Excel skills: pivots, lookups, SUMIFS, Power Query, scenario modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with Xero accounting platform.
  • Comfortable producing month-end accounts under IFRS for SMEs.
  • Strong cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management.
  • Fluent written and spoken business English.
  • Currently UAE-resident or with prior UAE work experience.
  • Bonus: AI competency using Copilot for Excel, ChatGPT or Claude.
  • Bonus: UK practice exposure (FRS 102, UK VAT, HMRC filings).
  • Bonus: Multi-currency reporting experience (GBP, AED, USD, CNY).
  • Bonus: E-commerce or retail industry experience.
