Roles & Responsibilities

The job

As a Management Trainee, you will gain broad exposure to all facets of retail operations. You will work closely with various teams and senior leadership, supporting key operational activities and contributing to the smooth functioning of day-to-day business processes. This role provides a well-rounded understanding of retail operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Description

Sales & Store Operations

  • Assisting in executing sales strategies to drive brand sales and achieve store targets. Monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly store sales performance against key business metrics
  • Supporting the implementation of sales strategies to increase productivity, and overall retail stores’ performance

Retail Store Hygiene

  • Working closely with the Group Director or respective Regional Manager to ensure that stores comply with operating procedures, visual merchandising guidelines, and customer service standards
  • Participating in store visits to validate hygiene, upkeep, store ambience, and adherence to brand guidelines

Brand & Marketing Support

  • Tracking and reporting on brand sales performance; providing feedback to the Group Director and brand teams to support product assortment and promotional planning
  • Coordinating with the brand teams to support the development of optimal brand assortment and local marketing initiatives in line with store needs

People and Store Operations Support

  • Working with the Group Director or respective Regional Manager to review retail staffing requirements, optimize shift planning, and support manpower scheduling for efficient store operations
  • Helping monitor staff attendance, roster adherence, grooming standards, and discipline
  • Assist with onboarding new joiners, tracking induction progress, and supporting probation assessments
  • Coordinating with the training team to schedule product and sales training for store teams

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Support daily and monthly stock audits, store inventory checks, and stock replenishment activities
  • Assist in tracking stock movements, defective checks, and inventory reporting

Reporting & Market intelligence

  • Prepare and share sales and operations reports
  • Help gather competitive market information on market trends, general competitive landscape, mall activities etc. and upstream to Group Director, Regional Manager or higher management, as applicable

Desired Candidate Profile

Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field from a reputed university
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills
  • Global exposure is appreciated, fostering a broader understanding of diverse markets and customer bases
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
