Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic:
- Define and drive enterprise automation strategy across QA, DevOps, and operations.
- Align automation initiatives with business KPIs, delivery timelines, and cost optimization.
- Establish governance, standards, and best practices for automation frameworks.
- Drive adoption of AI/ML-based testing and intelligent automation where applicable.
- Develop automation roadmap including tools, frameworks, and scalability planning.
Technical:
- Oversee design and implementation of automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Robot).
- Lead CI/CD automation using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
- Implement API, performance, and end-to-end automation strategies.
- Integrate automation with cloud platforms (AWS, OCI, Azure) and container ecosystems (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ensure automation coverage across UI, API, database, and infrastructure layers.
- Drive scripting and automation using Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Implement monitoring, reporting dashboards (Grafana, Allure).
- Ensure security testing integration (SAST, DAST, DevSecOps practices).
- Optimize automation execution time, stability, and scalability.
- Oversee tool selection, licensing, and framework optimization.
People:
- Lead and mentor automation teams, QA engineers, and SDETs.
- Define KPIs and performance metrics for automation maturity.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Product teams.
- Drive training and upskilling initiatives in automation technologies.
- Manage hiring, performance reviews, and team capacity planning.
- Promote culture of quality engineering and continuous improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile
Qualification
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Certification
Certifications such as ISTQB Advanced, DevOps, or Cloud certifications are preferred.
Experience
Minimum 8 12 years of experience in automation and QA, with at least 3 5 years in leadership role. Strong expertise in automation frameworks, CI/CD, performance testing, and cloud-native environments. Proven experience managing large-scale automation initiatives.
