Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Performs tasks related to inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining less complex and routine ground servicing equipment to support aircraft systems or subsystems.

2. Handles tasks related to scheduled and unscheduled maintenances on GSE.

3. Performs tasks related to inspection, testing and operating GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.

4. Diagnoses and repairs mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory sense test equipment and technical publications.

5. Assembles and disassembles parts prior to and post maintenance according to the standard procedures and reports any malfunction to supervisor.

6. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles and reinstalls GSE accessories and components.

7. Services equipment s with fuel, oil, coolant, water and hydraulic fluid and air.

8. Operates, cleans, inspects and services GSE towing vehicles and maintains vehicle forms.

9. Checks equipment s for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.

10. Calibrates installed or repaired equipment s to prescribed specifications.

11. Follows the day-to-day operations related to assigned duties to ensure continuity of work.

12. Prepares timely and accurate departmental MIS statements and reports of GAL to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.

13. Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

14. Motivates one s own team and identifies opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

15. Oversees improvements to departmental policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

16. Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.
