The Manager - Backup and Restore Management at Qiddiya Investment Company is a vital role responsible for overseeing our data protection strategies, ensuring that organizational data is secure, accessible, and recoverable. This position involves direct management of backup and disaster recovery operations, maintaining compliance with industry standards and best practices, while leading a dynamic team focused on safeguarding critical information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive backup and restore strategies across on-premises and cloud environments to ensure data availability and integrity.
• Lead the management of backup systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, to optimize performance and reliability.
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation related to backup schedules, data retention, and recovery testing.
• Own operations and service performance for Infrastructure, M365, Systems, and Cloud
• Ensure service availability, stability, and operational readiness
• Govern incident, problem, and change management
• Manage vendors, contracts, renewals, and operational costs
• Drive continuous service improvement and operational reporting

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backup and restore management or related IT roles, with strong emphasis on data protection technologies.
• Experience with industry-leading backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Dell EMC) and cloud backup solutions.
• Strong knowledge of disaster recovery methodologies and best practices, including RPO and RTO concepts.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to implement solutions that mitigate risks.
• Proven track record in project management, with strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA Security+, or vendor-specific certifications in backup management are a plus.
