Main Role (Overall accountability):

We are looking for a data scientist with adequate technical skills to analyze large amounts of raw information to independently undertake various analytics exercises. We will rely on the incumbent to build data products to extract valuable business insights. In this role, the incumbent should have high analytical skills and high proficiency in mathematics and statistical methods.

Primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction models integrated with our products. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for interpreting data. The goal will be to help the personal banking group analyze trends to make better decisions.

Principal Accountabilities:

Business Insights: Provide support to business units by analyzing business trends and provide insights, reports and dashboards impacting business profitability

Data mining & Analytics: using state-of-the-art methods

• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting the results
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

Campaign Management: Execution of tactical cross sell CRM campaigns for the business teams

Teamwork: Work collaboratively with own immediate team. Establish trust and confidence with the business partner teams. Liaise with key stakeholders on MIS related activities and deliverables.

Communication: Work with the team to communicate the reports/outputs to the business teams effectively

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Required:

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist
• Excellent applied knowledge of statistics methods, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
• Working knowledge of applicable personal banking products and services
• Proficiency in query management and reporting tools (SQL)
• Proven skills and experience data visualization tools such as Microsoft BI, Tableau, Qlik view reports etc.
• Knowledge of Python
• Knowledge of SAS tools SAS EG, SAS Minor, Marketing Automation, SAS Visual Analytics, Info Maps
