Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Business planning managers provide executives with suggestions on how to improve business activities based on performance analysis and forecasts. prioritize business initiatives, create best practices for employees and departments to follow, and work towards meeting company objectives.

  • Coordinate with the Sales team to get periodic sales forecasts.
  • Analyze the demand and supply balance at the product family and master schedule levels, validate sales forecast, determine out-of-balance conditions, identify alternatives, and recommend action for approval and ensure optimal master schedule stability.
  • Maintain planned scheduling parameters, such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and order file data for all master scheduled items. Review each master scheduled item at least weekly.
  • Ensure that the demand (generated by sales team) and supply (from the Supplier) are synchronized at the required intervals.
  • Prepare the data requirements and templates required for Sales & Operations planning.
  • Closely work with the Sales team to understand the trends in product sales, Customer Service Levels (or backlogs) & design/ update inventory policies for the same.
  • Review inventory policies to control inventory and other material related costs on a constant timely basis.
  • Ensure service-related documentation is accurate and always kept up to date.
  • Following up with the registration items and make sure all valid to be imported
  • Track the import premotion and customs clearness in order to deliver the materials on approved schedule
  • Creating models to help define pricing strategies for products or services offered by the company
  • Ensure quality of practice meets contractual requirements, legal obligations and organisational policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in monitoring, review and auditing processes related to service delivery.

The jobholder plays a coordinating role in the preparation of the business cum operational plans and budgets. He must coordinate & discuss with the senior management from different departments on a consistent basis

Internal:

  • Coordinates with the Sr. Manager Busniess Planning.
  • Coordinates with the Sales team for sales forecasting.
  • Coordinates with warehouse manager for creating PR.
  • Coordinates with the procurement team for PO.

External:

  • Coordinates with the suppliers

Decisions on operational measures have to be taken after discussions with Sr. manager of the departments concerned

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Commerce / Management / SC Post graduate qualificaton in Management is desirable.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office ( MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint , MS- Word) and MS Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Planning & Management systems in an organisation
