Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with finance teams to develop long-term budget plans, cost management frameworks, and forecasting models for operations projects.
- Design and implement cash flow management plans to ensure availability of funds and maintain adequate liquidity levels.
- Allocate budgets efficiently across multiple projects, monitoring utilization and adjusting allocations as necessary to optimize financial performance.
- Develop and track budget performance indicators, ensuring effective measurement and reporting of budget adherence.
- Identify potential financial risks and propose mitigation strategies to safeguard project and organizational interests.
- Collaborate with project management teams to verify the accuracy of project invoices and ensure timely disbursement of payments.
- Provide financial guidance and support to project managers to facilitate smooth project execution and decision-making.
- Oversee financial data entry, reporting, reconciliation, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Conduct internal audits of financial processes to ensure adherence to policies, detect discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
- Manage financial close-out activities for projects, ensuring all contractual obligations are settled and records accurately maintained.
- Review and manage asset dismantling requests, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure proper recording, approval, and closure in financial systems.
- Monitor month-end and year-end financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy in financial statements and reporting.
- Develop and maintain efficient record-keeping and document control systems to ensure accurate tracking of all financial transactions.
- Define performance objectives, KPIs, and development plans for team members, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Lead recruitment, planning, and selection of manpower for the Financial Planning & Control Management team.
- Foster a high level of employee engagement, motivation, and capability development through coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Undertake additional duties as directed by the Director Finance & Contracts Management to meet the objectives of the operations sector.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration across internal functions to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Continuously monitor industry best practices and innovations in financial management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine financial planning and control strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead and manage the Financial Planning & Control Management team, setting clear goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring high standards of output.
- Interpret and implement changes in financial policies and procedures, providing guidance and support for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, accounting standards, and quality benchmarks across all financial operations.
- Drive strategic decision-making by providing insights and recommendations based on financial data, industry trends, and operational performance.
