Roles & Responsibilities

As the Freight Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of freight management, including transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations. Your role involves coordinating with carriers, optimizing freight routes, managing shipping schedules, and ensuring timely and cost-effective freight delivery. Main Job Responsibilities: Revenue Growth & Business Development Drive freight revenue growth through acquisition of new customers and expansion of existing accounts. Develop and execute the freight Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy aligned with company growth objectives. Identify and pursue opportunities across key verticals such as FMCG, CPG, Automotive, Retail, and Industrial sectors. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring healthy conversion rates. Lead negotiations and close strategic freight contracts with local and multinational customers. Work closely with the BD team to position integrated end-to-end logistics solutions. Commercial Strategy & Pricing Develop competitive freight pricing strategies aligned with market conditions and company margin targets. Lead preparation of commercial proposals, RFQs, and tenders. Ensure pricing accuracy by aligning buying rates, operational costs, and margin expectations. Maintain relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and transport partners to secure competitive rates. Monitor market freight trends to adjust pricing strategies and maintain competitiveness. Freight Operations Management Oversee the daily execution of freight operations, ensuring timely and efficient shipment handling. Manage operations across air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL), and land transportation. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards. Monitor operational KPIs including transit time, cost control, service reliability, and shipment visibility. Continuously optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk. Customer Experience & Account Management Serve as the primary escalation point for strategic freight customers. Ensure delivery of high-quality service aligned with agreed SLAs and contractual obligations. Work closely with the Customer Experience and Operations teams to proactively resolve operational challenges. Conduct regular business reviews with key clients to identify growth opportunities and strengthen partnerships. Ensure clear communication with customers regarding shipment updates, risks, and service improvements. Financial & Performance Management Own the profitability of the freight business, including revenue, gross profit, and cost control. Monitor performance against revenue targets, margin targets, and operational KPIs. Analyze freight performance data to identify areas for improvement and growth. Prepare regular reports on pipeline performance, revenue progress, and operational metrics. Strategic Development & Market Expansion Develop a long-term freight development plan aligned with the company s logistics strategy. Identify strategic partnerships with carriers, agents, and global freight networks. Evaluate opportunities to expand into new trade lanes, services, or industry segments. Support the development of integrated logistics solutions combining freight, warehousing, and transportation. The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Candidates should have 7 10 years of professional experience, with proven hands-on expertise in B2B sales and business development within the supply chain and logistics sector. A strong network across the GCC market is essential, along with a demonstrated track record of generating revenue through logistics and supply chain solutions. The successful candidate will possess excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills, enabling them to build and maintain strategic client partnerships. A valid driving license is required for this role. Language proficiency requirements include fluent Arabic and fluent English, both spoken and written. Performance Expectations The role will be responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding the B2B customer base, securing high-value contracts, and strengthening market positioning through strategic partnerships. From a client management perspective, the candidate will be expected to develop and maintain long-term relationships with key industry clients, enhance customer satisfaction, and improve client retention. The position will also focus on operational efficiency by optimizing the sales cycle, streamlining customer engagement processes, and ensuring effective coordination between business development and operations teams. Additionally, the candidate should maintain a strong presence within the logistics industry by participating in relevant events, establishing partnerships with key logistics vendors, and contributing to industry thought leadership initiatives.
