Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and research donor and funding opportunities from international organizations, development funds, and philanthropic foundations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, funding bodies, and NGOs.
  • Develop and submit high-quality proposals, concept notes, and funding applications aligned with Classera s education and training mission.
  • Negotiate funding agreements and manage reporting requirements to ensure donor compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Program, Finance, Government Partnerships) to align proposals with operational capacity and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor donor priorities, funding trends, and international aid flows in the education and digital transformation sectors.
  • Represent Classera at donor and funding forums, conferences, and bilateral meetings.
  • Ensure funded projects are delivered on time, within scope, and reported according to donor requirements.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking of donor prospects, applications, and funding secured.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in International Development, International Relations, Business, or a related field (Master s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 7 years experience in donor engagement, fundraising, or partnership development with international organizations.
  • Proven track record of securing multi-million-dollar funding and managing donor-funded projects.
  • Strong knowledge of international aid systems, development banks, and philanthropic funding models.
  • Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English required; proficiency in French is an advantage.
  • Strong project management and financial oversight skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Established relationships with major donor organizations (e.g., World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF, USAID, EU, Gulf-based philanthropic foundations).
  • Experience working in the education, digital transformation, or training sectors.
  • Familiarity with CSR-driven funding models in the Middle East.
  • Passion for education, digital transformation, and sustainable development.
