Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support planning and execution of evaluation and boarding activities of all new projects, according to the Plan.
  • Ensure proper evaluation of all new Solutions and Applications by participating in RFP process, Design, Development and lab testing.
  • Participate in the design discussion related to the delivery highlight the short comings and propose remedial actions
  • Certify the new solutions related to IT (applications and Infrastructure not limited to Storage, Open shift, NFVI, Compute/OS (RH, VMware, Unix, Windows), Database mainly Oracle DB s, IT Applications BSS, OSS, ESS)
  • Obtain periodic updates on the technology plans from planning and delivery and ensure technology alignment with the company strategic plans.
  • Ensure the day-to-day orchestration, service assurance and life cycle management of accepted solution are in place.
  • Identify the operational SPOCs for the project and work closely with them.
  • Review the new projects document as per the set SLA and ensure working with service operations stakeholder for alignment before closing any project delivery milestone.
  • Ensure that all operation High availability, best practice integration and documentation methodologies, are taken into consideration when building the acceptance Check list for new solutions.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new solutions to production environment and draw efficient operation model that follows the best practice of operational excellence while meeting Business and customer expectation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in Computer, IT, Electrical, Electronic, Network Engineering or IT (any telecom equivalent)
  • PMP Certification will be a plus
  • ITIL certification will be desirable

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience with at least 5 years of technical experience in Telecom company.
  • Development experience in OpenStack CLI commands and administration.
  • Development experience in Linux/Unix scripting especially for TCP/IP stack, Routing/Switching networks, LBs, Firewalls, DNS, VPNs etc.
  • Experience with deployment or configuration management tools such Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
  • Knowledge in IP networking, Application traffic flows, and Security best practices.
  • Experience in supporting application virtualization within a service provider network.
  • Knowledge of SDN, NFV, OpenStack, Docker, Containers Concepts as well as the FCAPS model to support Service level orchestration and assurance.
  • Programming aptitude in Python, Java scripts, SOAP, Ruby, PHP.
  • APIs Knowledge based on JSON, XML.
  • Experience with HOT Template and OVF based VNF descriptors.
  • Networking services consisting of Virtual and Physical Network Functions.
  • Familiarity or experience with Software Defined Networking principals or system. A qualified candidate would need to exhibit significant experience across the following areas:
  • Understanding of Open-Source software development, system and database administration best practices
  • A deep understanding of Data Centers virtualization technologies (servers, networks and software stacks), monitoring tools and processes.
