Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Management of marketing deliverables for ZSP
- Develop a marketing strategy for the Zayed Sustainability Prize and its initiatives, including Beyond2020.
- Build strategic relationships with partners such as agencies and vendors to ensure the Prize has access to leading industry players where needed.
- Manage the assignment of various creative and production agencies for the purpose of developing and executing marketing campaigns and video content throughout the calendar year.
- Manage agencies as required across the full scope of both goods and services, including advertising, direct marketing, conferences and events.
- Identify opportunities of engagement proactively both externally and internally and monitoring of trends and competitors to ensure strong positioning of the Prize.
- Ensure creation of marketing deliverables, in collaboration with Brand Manager, (logos, brochures, signage, promotional materials advertisements, etc.) to communicate and reinforce corporate objectives, thereby attracting stakeholders while developing positive and lasting stakeholder relations for ZSP.
- Oversee the creation of video assets across the Prize s initiatives, such as Beyond2020, including storyboarding and agency management where required.
- Develop campaigns and briefs for marketing initiatives and coordinate with agencies as required, owning the implementation from ideation to execution.
- Manage the entire campaign implementation process to ensure KPIs are met and to the standard expected.
- Manage all media buying activities and 3rd party agencies, in collaboration with the Brand Manager, to deliver the required results and ensure strong ROI on media selection and placement.
- Develop set templates and frameworks for creating and communicating project and activity plans.
- Manage the building of brand reputation and equity through leveraging on the various marketing activities and programs as well as digital media platforms such as social media and website. Monitor performance of marketing efforts and ensure monthly reports are produced to present the engagement and reach of paid campaigns.
- Develop relevant budgets for ZSP activations and projects.
Management of the marketing delivery for the annual awards ceremony
- Manage the delivery of the Prize s marketing plan for the awards ceremony.
- Manage all media buying activities to ensure consistent reach and engagement for the Prize.
- Support the implementation of all Prize events and activities occurring during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
- Manage all agencies and 3rd parties for the Prize s activities.
Recommendation and monitoring of budgets and plans
- Contribute to recommending and monitoring the unit budget yearlong so that the business is aware of areas of unsatisfactory performance against the budget and so that performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Management of stakeholders and third-party service providers
- Ensure relationships with service level providers are managed smoothly and effectively in a way that guarantees that Masdar is provided with quality and timely services, in line with relevant service level agreements.
- As and when required by management, personally manage key relationships/negotiations with relevant internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure the negotiation and agreement of favourable deals and agreements that safeguard Masdar s best interests while ensuring the delivery of necessary needs/goals
Desired Candidate Profile
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or relevant Master s degree from a top-tier internationally recognized higher education institution
- Bachelor s degree in communications, mass media, marketing or related discipline
Preferred Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in senior roles in marketing and events for large events or an equivalent experience
- Experience in the UAE gaining strong knowledge and understanding of local rules, regulations, systems Prior experience with brand architecture, studies, audits and revamp exercises Prior experience with management of a marketing and events team and processes
Job-Specific Skills:
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills leading to a consultative approach within a corporate / multifunctional environment
- Strong understanding of the complexity and challenges of driving/building a project delivery culture and strong project management skills
- Strong knowledge of budget management
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent computer literacy, with strong background in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent ability to plan and organize work and prioritize projects
- Excellent time management skills
