Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Plans, organizes, and assures provision of all Nutrition Services related patient services in the Hospital.

2. Develops and implements policies and procedures governing all aspects of Nutrition Services.

3. Develops expansions, additions, and modifications to serve as required to meet changing patient needs.

4. Recommends and/ oradministers personnel actions such as promotions, merit increases, disciplinary actions and resolves staff grievances.

5. Ensures that section operates within allocated funds.

6. Prepares equipment budgets and other forecasts related to Nutrition Services.

7. Consults with medical staff regarding section equipment needs.

8. Coordinates staff schedules and assignments to meet patient care and institutional needs.

9. Ensures a high quality of care and services provided to the KFSH&RC (Gen. Org.) patients.

10. Maintains liaison with Medicine and general medical staff, Nursing Services, other department/section Head/Manager, and various committees, as appropriate.

11. Evaluates new equipment and recommends supplies purchases.

12. Establishes and maintains compliance with policies related to safety, infection and environmental control.

Desired Candidate Profile

PhD, Master or, Bachelor Degree in Clinical Nutrition from an accredited institution and completion of Dietetic Internship approved by the American Dietetic Association or related field is requires.

Four (4)years of experience as a hospital ClinicalDietitian with PhD, six (6) years with with Master s or eight (8) years, includingtwo (2) years at a Supervisory/Senior position isrequired.

Current Registration from country of origin and/or Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
