Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

  • The Manager / Senior Manager Portfolio & Asset Management will support the execution of Asyad Group s portfolio management function. The role will focus on driving asset-level performance visibility, detailed financial and operational analysis, value creation planning, turnaround support, and capital efficiency across Asyad s portfolio companies and strategic investments.
  • The role requires a strong analytical profile, preferably with significant Financial Due Diligence experience, and the ability to work closely with business units, finance teams, operating companies and senior management to identify performance gaps, challenge assumptions, and support value creation initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Performance Monitoring & Business Plan Review
  • Monitor performance against budget across revenue, EBITDA, cash flow and capex, and flag key risks and variances.
  • Prepare monthly/ quarterly structured asset review packs and performance dashboards for management and board reporting.
  • Identify early warning signals and track implementation of corrective actions.
  • Review and challenge annual business plans, budgets and forecasts submitted by portfolio companies.
  • Validate key assumptions and assess alignment with strategy and value creation objectives.
  • Evaluate capex plans and expected returns to support capital allocation decisions.

Financial Analysis

  • Perform detailed analysis of financial performance, covering revenue, margins, cost structure, working capital, cash generation and capital efficiency.
  • Assess sustainability of earnings and identify key performance gaps and drivers.
  • Build and maintain asset-level financial models to support performance tracking and decision making.

Value Creation & Turnaround

  • Identify and prioritize value creation opportunities across growth, cost optimization, asset utilization and cash improvement.
  • Support turnaround of underperforming assets through structured action plans and performance tracking.
  • Quantify impact of initiatives and monitor delivery against targets.

Governance & Shareholder Oversight

  • Prepare shareholder materials, portfolio reviews and performance summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Track board resolutions, shareholder actions and key governance matters across portfolio companies.
  • Identify governance, reporting and control gaps and escalate where required.

Capital & Strategic Support

  • Assess capital structure, funding requirements, returns and capital efficiency across assets.
  • Support follow-on investments, restructuring initiatives and divestment analysis.
  • Contribute to portfolio-level capital allocation and strategic review discussions.

Skills

  • Hands-on and analytical with strong FDD and financial analysis capability.
  • Ability to challenge numbers, assumptions and business plans.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to convert detailed analysis into clear management recommendations.
  • Commercial judgment and ability to link operational drivers to financial performance.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work across business units and portfolio companies.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work with incomplete or inconsistent data.
  • Clear written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and manage multiple assets/workstreams.
  • English language is mandatory. Fluent in Arabic preferred.

  • Reports to: Director / VP Portfolio Management
  • Portfolio Management team
  • Portfolio company management teams (CEO, CFO and functional leads)

  • Portfolio company boards and representatives
  • Advisors (financial, commercial, operational)
  • Lenders and financial stakeholders

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
  • Professional qualification preferred: CPA, ACCA, CFA, ACA or equivalent.
  • MBA or advanced finance qualification is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence / Transaction Services, private equity, portfolio management or corporate finance.
  • Strong experience in financial analysis, business performance review and working with management accounts.
  • Demonstrable strong financial modelling experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial accounting concepts and corporate finance.
