Roles & Responsibilities

As a Manager Technical Operations and Support at EEMC, you will be accountable for the Planning and Technical Support Functions of the entire Engine Overhaul Process in aspects of Product Support Engineering, Repairs Engineering, Technical Publication, Technical Documentation including release of the engine. Accountable for all the processes that are aligned with internal compliance requirements and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Accountable for the technical support function of the entire engine overhaul process and that all activities meet the requirements from OEM's, the Airline (CAMO) and the regulatory authorities.
  • Manage critical task support of production and operational needs, including but not limited to transcription of customer workscope requirements to EEMC maintenance tasks, induction meeting technical content, technical queries and defect rectification, tooling support or data queries, test data queries or troubleshooting, EER responses, Departure Record creation and process management, and mitigation of work stoppage issues.
  • Accountable for the content and definition of relevant task cards with clarity, purpose accurate data & usability while making sure all Human Factor elements are considered for the correct execution of the tasks.
  • Accountable for the on-time issuance of the task cards to the shop floor and the collection of the Work Pack, post-closure by Production. This includes a verification of the task cards completeness and housekeeping to a presentable format to the airline Technical Records department.
  • Manage the Planning and technical support functions with the help of an efficient KPI System in place i.e. operational, financial, compliance and safety and pre-emptively address and escalate all deviations that would impact TAT, cost and safety with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Responsible to monitor that all relevant safety and compliance regulations are being followed and immediately address any deviations and escalate them according to the internal procedures in place.
  • Responsible that industry best practices are being applied and continuous improvement is being carried out and implemented. Making sure that the prerequisites for a digitized operation are being fulfilled.
  • Manage Repair and Overhaul Capability Development of modules is aligned with business requirements to ensure organizational growth objectives are met. Manage Repairs industrialisation to maximise the company revenues, including the Repairs Engineering allowing a constant and optimized use of the Repair production line.
  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders internally and externally i.e. OEM / customer for all technical escalations, and maintain an adequate and fact based collaboration with them. Accountable that all the relevant information are communicated in a timely manner to the final customers.
  • Lead and guide a team of employees to ensure that Maintenance and Overhaul activities are efficiently planned, organised and technically supported while ensuring that best operational / commercial interests of the business are served accountable for all technical, organizational and personnel requirements in that area meet the necessary internal procedures and authority requirements and manage within the agreed timelines deviations from them.
  • Accountable to set relevant objectives for the employees and constantly follow up and provide feedback to them. Accountable for developing the employees by ensuring that they are trained, talents being identified and fostered.
  • Responsible for the cost centre / department related Budget Process and Control.

Desired Candidate Profile

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering, or a B1 Aircraft Maintenance License (or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Mechanical, or Planning roles within Technical Services, including repair, test, and overhaul of powerplant and APU equipment.
  • Hands-on experience in propulsion planning and engine production control.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or senior-level position.
  • Thorough knowledge of the latest technical developments and industry trends related to propulsion systems.
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize technical information for cost-effective implementation.
  • Sound knowledge of airworthiness requirements, aviation regulations, maintenance and design organizations, and certification processes.
  • Strong understanding of engine maintenance philosophy, including engine / module / nacelle / powerplant / piece part repairs, contracts, purchasing, warranty, engineering planning, and production control.
  • Basic financial acumen to support cost and resource decision-making.
  • Preferably trained or certified in LEAN or Six Sigma methodologies.
