Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Product Development & R&D

  • Lead R&D projects related to MAP films.
  • Evaluate different fresh food products (fruits and vegetables) and determine their MAP needs.
  • Conduct lab trials, packaging tests, gas-permeability evaluations, and shelf-life studies.
  • Coordinate product validation trials with production and QC teams.

2. Customer Application Support

  • Work closely with customers production and QA teams to understand pain points and technical requirements.
  • Support customer trials, conduct on-site evaluations, and solve technical issues related to MAP performance.
  • Document findings and translate them into actionable improvements for product development.

3. Market & Technical Knowledge

  • Stay updated on global MAP technologies, film innovations, gas-mix strategies, and food preservation trends.
  • Benchmark competitors MAP solutions and identify gaps or opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management on market needs and technical enhancements.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production, QC, Sales, and R&D to ensure MAP products meet performance and cost targets.
  • Train internal teams (sales, QC, production) on MAP concepts, applications, and product specifications.
  • Prepare technical documentation, TDS updates, trial reports, and customer guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Food Technology, Packaging Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • 5-10 years experience in food processing, packaging development, MAP systems, or food R&D.
  • Experience in fresh food is a Mandatory.
  • Hands on Experience from Fresh Food Packaging houses

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of food Pathology and microbiology, respiration rate, water activity, and shelf-life dynamics.
  • Ability to run trials, interpret data, and propose practical solutions.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical reasoning.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and handle customer-facing situations.
  • Project management and reporting skills.
