Roles & Responsibilities

A leading sports entity in Riyadh is seeking an experienced strong>Head of Maps & Plans/strong> to support the planning and delivery of a major international sporting tournament. This role will be critical in establishing governance, accuracy, and operational readiness across all spatial materials used throughout the event lifecycle.

strong>Key Responsibilities/strong>

  • Develop and implement strong>unified standards/strong> for map naming, content, formatting, and version control across all functions.
  • Design and manage a strong>publication schedule/strong> aligned with operational milestones and stakeholder requirements.
  • Consolidate maps for strong>stadiums, training sites, city sites, and headquarters/strong>, including operational flows, zoning, and delivery routes.
  • Coordinate with functional areas to strong>verify spatial documentation/strong>, resolve technical issues, and ensure consistent, high quality strong>CAD outputs and graphical standards/strong>.
  • Oversee the strong>integration of maps and plans into a central GIS platform/strong>, enabling real time operational readiness and coordination with external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a controlled strong>single source of truth/strong> for all spatial materials, ensuring timely updates and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Desired Candidate Profile

Senior level experience in strong>GIS and CAD governance/strong>, spatial data management, and map standardisation.

  • Proven background within a strong>major sports event, mega event, or giga project environment/strong>.
  • Strong understanding of strong>multi venue operations/strong>, operational flows, and fast paced planning environments.
  • Ability to work in a strong>high responsibility, locally regulated operating environment/strong> and engage effectively with public sector and event stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • This role is under the Saudization scheme and is open only to candidates of KSA N
