Marine Cargo Inspector/Surveyor COTECNA INSPECTIONS S.A.

The Inspector / Surveyor will have the responsibility execute physical / remote inspections / Audits, perform surveys and generate reports in accordance with pre-shipment & commercial Contracts mandates to comply set procedures, process and guidelines.

Audits :

· Perform Audits and inspection as per the requirements of ISO 17067 FA and / or for any other Audits related to Authorized products.

Pre-shipment inspection.

� Pre shipment inspections of cargo.

� FCL [Full Container Load].

� Inspection of cargo for conformity, and origin as per documents

� LCL cargo and air cargo

� Conduct remote inspections and Audits for conformity programs.

General cargo inspection

� Loading supervision and tally survey.

� Delivery/bagging supervision of bulk cargo mainly commodities such as sugar, wheat etc.

� Supervision/ and or managing the sub-contracted jobs.

Inspection of Agricultural commodities :

· Perform Sampling weighing supervision of Grains and Feed as per GAFTA requirement in bulk or bags on vessel / shore terminal / containers as required

· Perform sampling and supervision of oil seeds and Fats as per FOSFA procedures.

· Preparation of samples as per instructions and agreed terms with the Clients in line with the respective GAFTA / FOSFA procedures.

· Conduct draft survey to determine the quantity of cargo loaded / discharged as per instructions received.

· Initial and final survey of loading or discharging of Edible Oil products on Ship/ shore tanks; product sampling at initial, final and as per specified procedure /stages.

· Initial and final inspection of shore tanks, product sampling as per instructions / requirements.

· STS operation – Ship to Ship transfer operation survey.

· Prepare joint / individual samples as per relevant procedures and distribute as per instructions / relevant contract requirement.

· Updating on daily or as specified basis on all progresses to client.

· Preparation and dispatch of Inspection report to client.

· Timely coordination and clarification of all queries as forwarded by the client.

Vessel Related Inspections :

� Loading & Discharging inspection of Petrochemical Products, sampling.

� Draft survey inspection of bulk cargo, sampling

� Bunker survey inspection.

� Condition survey of vessels and Delivery/ Re-delivery inspections.

� Heavy lift cargo loading and unloading supervision.

� Acting as Supercargo for loading and unloading of general/ heavy lift cargo.

� Supervision/ inspection of lashing & securing of cargo on board the vessel.

� Pre-loading and after discharge inspection of cargo from vessel.

Dry & Reefer Container & Cargo Inspection

� Inspection & corrective measure supervision in case of dry container damaged or overweight or leakage or spillage due to cargo loaded.

� Insurance survey and damage/loss assessment of dry / reefer containerized shipment/consignment.

� To ensure containers are for seaworthy passage.

� To conduct follow up survey.

� Preparation and dispatch of survey report.

� Timely coordination and clarification of all queries as forwarded by the client.

Insurance related inspections.

� Containerized cargo damage inspections for insurance claims.

� Container damage – structural damage inspection/ seaworthy inspection.

� Inspection of cargo for damage/shortage claims.

� Inspections related to insurance claims of perishable cargo/ and or general cargo.

Bunker/ Condition Survey

� During Bunkering: Initial and final survey of receiving vessel and supply barge/ tank trucks for quantity delivered assessment of bunker. Collecting sampling and dispatching as per Client’s defined scope.

� Bunker ROB Survey.

� On hire or off-hire Bunker/Vessel condition survey.

� Preparation and dispatch of survey report to client.

� Timely coordination and clarification of all queries as forwarded by the client.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

� Understanding and implementing ISO 9001:2015 requirements in daily work.

� Understanding the requirements of ISO17020:

� Ensuring promotion of customer focus in all tasks.

� Ensuring that respective actions will be taken to deliver the quality objectives set for the year.
