Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- RF Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in marine radio and communication systems. 
- The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, integration, testing, and maintenance of RF communication systems used on ships and offshore installations. 
- This role requires a deep understanding of marine VHF, MF/HF, AIS, radar, satellite, and GMDSS systems, along with practical experience in troubleshooting and compliance with maritime communication standards. 
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as an RF or Marine Communications Engineer. Proven experience with marine radio systems — VHF, MF/HF, AIS, GMDSS, Inmarsat, and radar. 
- Strong practical knowledge of RF measurement and diagnostic tools (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators, etc.). 
- Understanding of antenna systems, impedance matching, and grounding for marine installations. 
- Experience with RF design/simulation software (e.g., CST, HFSS, ADS, or similar) is an advantage. 
- Familiarity with maritime communication standards (ITU-R, IEC 60945, IEC 61162, SOLAS, GMDSS). 
- Good understanding of RF safety, EMC/EMI, and environmental constraints in marine applications. 
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in communication systems.
- Holds relevant certifications such as GMDSS or equivalent, demonstrating proficiency in maritime communication standards and procedures.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in marine communication engineering, showcasing practical knowledge and expertise.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of marine communication systems, including satellite communication, radio, and internal communication networks, demonstrating technical proficiency.
