Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Manage end-to-end recruitment of marine crew (Officers & Ratings) for various vessel types (Bulk, Tankers, Containers, Offshore, etc.)

  2. Source candidates through databases, referrals, maritime job portals, and agencies

  3. Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates based on technical qualifications, certifications, and experience

  4. Verify certificates, licenses, and documentation as per STCW and flag state requirements

  5. Coordinate with manning agencies, training centers, and internal stakeholders

  6. Maintain and update crew database and recruitment records

  7. Ensure compliance with MLC, STCW, and company policies

  8. Handle crew mobilization, deployment planning, and joining formalities

  9. Liaise with operations and fleet teams for crew requirements

  10. Conduct background checks and reference verification

  11. Monitor crew availability and plan timely replacements

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in relevant principles.
  • Holds a minimum of 3 years of experience in marine crew coordination or recruitment, demonstrating practical industry knowledge.
  • Proficient in using crewing software and databases, showcasing the ability to manage and analyze crew data effectively.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with seafarers and management.
