Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Supervise, through company regulations and procedures related to the ship management system, all navigation, operational safety, and cargo and related equipment transportation operations.
  • Ensure the operation of ships according to the lease agreement requirements.
  • Monitor the standards of competency and performance of officers on board the tanker.
  • Commitment to all policies and procedures of Kuwait Oil Tankers Company.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to officers on board regarding ship operations programs.
  • Participate in the preparation and establishment of a tracking system for recording activities related to fleet operations to monitor performance continuously.
  • Use Risk analysis in reading incoming/outgoing reports and prepare a database for management and the fleet using all resources to identify threats and undesirable operations.
  • Assist in modifying and updating the fleet's ship management system and the operations group according to the company's needs.
  • Perform any other similar tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Qualification: A valid Master of the High Seas license certified by (Flag State Endorsement).

Experience: Practical experience of at least 12 years on board tankers, including at least 2 years on oil and gas tankers as a captain.


Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and communication.
  • Proficiency in using computers and their applications.
