Marine Specialist – (Muscat, Oman) - Omani Only

We are seeking an experienced Marine Specialist to join our Project, supporting safe and efficient marine operations for LNG carriers and bunkering activities. This role is based in Muscat with frequent travel to Sohar, working closely with the Sohar Marine team and acting as a key subject-matter expert.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee marine operations, safety, compliance, and assurance for LNG loading and bunkering.
• Develop and maintain marine procedures, standards, and referentials (ISGOTT, SIGTTO, OCIMF).
• Support and collaborate with Marine Superintendents; act as backup for terminal operations.
• Ensure HSE excellence, incident investigation, and ISPS compliance.
• Engage with port authorities, ship owners, surveyors, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct marine audits, vessel inspections, and performance reporting.
• Support logistics, warehouse, lifting activities, and budget monitoring.
• Contribute to workforce development and ICV initiatives, including staff competency and training.

Requirements:

• Master Mariner (Class 1) or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience including 5 years as Chief Officer/Master on LNG/LPG or Oil Carriers.
• Strong background in LNG terminal operations, berthing, cargo handling & marine regulations.
• Excellent English communication; strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of OCIMF SIRE/CDI, SIGTTO practices, ISPS, and marine emergency response
