Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Carry out the administrative activities in relation to ISM, ISPS and MLC2006 Frame agreements with certification bodies and contractual arrangement with Flags

Provide relevant assistance to support the vessel Master/OIM during the ISM,ISPS and MLC2006 certification processes

Carry out specific ISM, ISPS, MLC2006 shipboard surveys and studies (as needed)

Provide market research related to maritime law and regulations

Report the vessels Incidents to the flag administration as required by Company Procedure and flags' rules and tools

Carryout the onboard Minimum Safe Manning assessment as required by Company procedures

Support the Vessels in relation to Flag Certificates and official documents

Contribute to the safety, security, and labor management system monitoring activities

Contribute to the relevant vessel documents development and update

Implement the Management of Flag inspection as required by the Company Procedure

Implement the Management of Port State Control as required by the Company Procedure

Maintain relevant record Keeping

Submit timely required reports

In addition, the ISM/ISPS auditor and MLC2006 Inspector shall:

Carry out assigned ISM/ISPS Internal audits and MLC2006 Inspection according to the yearly plan and as required further

Verify the compliance with flag requirements (ISM/ISPS/MLC2006 relevance) as an integral part of the internal
audit/inspection process

Report the Internal Audit/inspection results clearly, conclusively and without undue delay by distributing the Internal Audit
report as required by the company procedure

Issue the audit/inspection findings and follow-up the rectification measures

Ensure timely closure of the findings and adhere to escalation measures as per company procedure

Verify the effectiveness of the corrective actions taken (Effectiveness Assessment)

Update the relevant monitoring system with the required information

Desired Candidate Profile

Diplomas/Certificates: Bachelor s degree in relevant studies (ie Maritime or Naval Engineering). Applicants must hold a valid Internal Auditor Certificate for ISM, ISPS, and MLC 2006 from a recognized training provider.

Experience: 2-3 years in the role

Languages: Advanced English Language skills required
