Roles & Responsibilities

Our client is a consumer brand preparing for a pilot launch followed by a full-scale product rollout. They are building their marketing function from the ground up and need an experienced Marketing Manager who can lead digital strategy, oversee social media, manage content development, and execute campaigns tied to key launch timelines. They seek a hands-on generalist capable of establishing the foundational marketing engine and evolving into a strategic leader as the business scales.

Role Overview

The Marketing Manager will own all digital marketing efforts, combining strategic planning with day-to-day execution. The role includes developing marketing plans, building the content engine, managing social platforms, coordinating influencers, supporting light paid advertising, and overseeing campaign execution for the pilot and upcoming product launch. This is a builder role designed for a marketer who can execute early-stage work while laying the groundwork for future expansion. As the brand grows, the position is expected to evolve into a more strategic leadership role with the opportunity to bring on supporting specialists.

Key Responsibilities Social Media Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and manage monthly social content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and any additional relevant platforms.

  • Create, edit, and publish content including short-form videos, static images, and stories.

  • Write captions, schedule posts, and lead daily community management.

  • Track performance and refine strategy to strengthen engagement and audience growth.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Management
  • Own digital marketing strategy across organic and light paid channels.

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for the pilot, pre-launch teasers, and product launch.

  • Create promotional assets such as simple video clips, graphics, and static ads.

  • Run basic Meta/TikTok ad campaigns and boosting.

  • Ensure marketing execution aligns with launch, packaging, and website timelines.

Influencer & Partnerships Coordination
  • Source, evaluate, and manage micro-influencers and creators.

  • Coordinate product seeding, contracts, deliverables, and posting schedules.

  • Track performance and maintain organized documentation.

Content Planning & Production Support
  • Support scripting, content concepts, and shoot planning.

  • Perform light video editing for short-form content.

  • Coordinate with freelance creatives or designers when needed.

Email & Website Support
  • Support basic email campaigns through tools such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp.

  • Make simple updates to the company website.

  • Coordinate with external partners for higher-level design or technical tasks.

Analytics & Reporting
  • Monitor performance across social media, email, ads, and campaigns.

  • Prepare weekly or bi-weekly reports outlining insights and recommendations.

  • Use data to refine creative, messaging, content formats, and targeting.

Growth & Future Team Expansion
  • Build the marketing function from scratch as a senior generalist.

  • Help shape future team structure and processes as marketing demands grow.

  • Contribute to the identification of future specialist roles, potentially including Email/Lifecycle, Paid Media, Design, and additional social support.

Qualifications Experience
  • 3 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, brand marketing, or social media management.

  • Background in consumer brands, DTC, or early-stage product launches preferred.

Skills
  • Strong understanding of organic social growth, viral content principles, and digital best practices.

  • Hands-on short-form video editing (TikTok/Reels).

  • Basic design skills (Canva).

  • Working knowledge of Meta/TikTok Ads for simple campaigns.

  • Excellent writing skills for captions, email campaigns, and promotional copy.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
