Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Review material specifications and ensure compliance with project and client requirements.

  • Prepare and submit material submittals, data sheets, and technical reports for client/consultant approval.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and laboratories for material testing and certification.

  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on delivered materials to ensure conformity.

  • Maintain records of test results, approvals, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).

  • Liaise with consultants, QA/QC teams, and site engineers on material-related issues.

  • Ensure all materials used on site are approved and conform to RTA, DEWA, and Dubai Municipality standards.

  • Participate in audits and assist in resolving material-related non-conformities.

  • Provide technical guidance on alternative materials and value engineering options.

  • Prepare periodic reports on material performance, test results, and status of submittals.


Desired Candidate Profile


    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Engineering.

    • Minimum 7–10 years of experience as a Material Engineer in roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE.

    • Strong knowledge of RTA, DEWA, and DM specifications and approval procedures.

    • Experience in material submittals, mix designs, and laboratory coordination.

    • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with quality management systems.

    • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills.

    • Must be currently available in UAE for interview and immediate mobilization.
