Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive mathematics lessons to students in accordance with the school s curriculum and educational standards.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support growth.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and educational technologies to enhance student understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and address individual needs.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events to contribute to the school community.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance in accordance with school policies.
- Encourage students to develop a growth mindset and a passion for mathematics through creative and real-world applications.
- Support extracurricular activities, math clubs, or competitions to further engage students in mathematics beyond the classroom.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience teaching mathematics at the elementary or secondary level.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in mathematics education.
- Ability to assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced school environment.
