Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The Mathematics Department aims to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematical concepts and skills. It focuses on developing critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and analytical skills necessary for academic and real-world applications. The department is committed to supporting students at various levels to achieve competence and confidence in mathematics, preparing them to succeed in an international and multidisciplinary environment.

  • Implementing the Mathematics curriculum (in Arabic) in accordance with the educational policies, regulations, and systems in place in the country, aiming to enhance the learner s level to meet international standards and create an engaging environment that fosters a well-balanced student personality.
  • Developing annual and semester plans for the science curriculum in Arabic based on content and performance standards. Managing the teaching and learning process using modern and effective learning strategies and utilizing educational tools efficiently in line with the daily lesson plan.
  • Designing and preparing various assessments for the subject, evaluating and measuring students' performance, analysing their results for improvement, and completing assessment and documentation tasks accurately and on time in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Planning and implementing academic intervention programs for struggling students, and enrichment programs for gifted and high-achieving students, in coordination with the relevant departments.
  • Treating all students professionally and fairly and coordinating with the guidance counsellor to address individual cases and determine their needs for support and follow-up.

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor s degree in mathematics / Primary Education (Science and Mathematics)
  • University GPA: Minimum of 2.5
  • Work Experience: Not required for UAE nationals
  • Age: Must not exceed 55 years

Requirements for Non-Nationals

  • Academic Qualification: Bachelor s degree in mathematics / Primary Education (Science and Mathematics)
  • University GPA: Minimum of 2.5
  • Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years for those without a teaching license
  • Minimum of 2 years for those with a teaching license
  • Age: Must not exceed 55 years

Skills

  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using relevant applications
  • Passing the tests and interview (approved by the Ministry)
  • Submission of an academic IELTS score of 5.0 for all Arabic-taught subjects by non-native English speakers within 6 months of employment
  • Obtaining a teaching license is mandatory within the first two years from the start date of employment
