Mechanic - Forklift for Kizad - Abu Dhabi Location Taurani Holdings LLC

Role Purpose:

This job holder responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. The role includes performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making necessary repairs to keep the equipment in working order.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Equipment Inspection: Conduct routine inspections of forklifts to identify wear and damage. Check for safety and operational issues.

2. Diagnostic Work: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems in forklifts and related equipment.

3. Repairs: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing parts, rebuilding engines, and repairing hydraulic systems.

4. Routine Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication.

5. Safety Compliance: Ensure that all forklifts are in compliance with safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety checks and make necessary adjustments.

6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory. Keep accurate service logs.

7. Parts Ordering: Identify and order replacement parts and materials required for repairs and maintenance.

8. Testing and Quality Control: Test repaired forklifts to ensure they operate correctly and safely. Perform quality control checks.

9. Customer Service: Interact with customers or colleagues to provide information on equipment issues, repairs, and maintenance schedules.

10. Training and Education: Stay updated on new forklift technology and maintenance techniques. Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge.

11. The job holder will coordinate with Supervisor’s and production team. In this context, the challenges posed are: Maintaining health and safety during repair the machines. To overcome these challenges, the job holder must have experience and knowledge in same field.
