Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for fit-out projects, focusing on HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes and standards.
- Create and review 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings, including schematics and layouts, using software like AutoCAD and Revit, paying close attention to spatial constraints and aesthetic integration.
- Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing for HVAC and other mechanical systems, optimising for energy efficiency and operational performance.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly within the overall fit-out design.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
- Holds relevant professional certifications or licenses (e.g., PE, CEng), demonstrating commitment to industry standards.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically within the fit-out or construction industry.
- Exhibits a proven track record of working on commercial, retail, or hospitality fit-out projects, showcasing relevant industry experience.
