Mechanical Engineer

Oversee the maintenance plan, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment used in production, such as conveyors, packaging machines, boilers, and utilities & ensure proper & effective implementation.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure reliability of machinery.

Create and document maintenance card for each machine along with history track (to identify the cost per machine daily) to monitor expenses & control maintenance budgets

Manage projects related to the upgrading, modification, spare parts, or installation of new equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to regulatory requirements.

Documents & analyze downtimes per line/section/machine, generate wastage reports, & design an action plan accordingly.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify current gaps & potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.

Update daily reports for maintenance logs and share it with related parties.

Manage current inventory of spare parts & ensure repair/replace of any default part.

Keep track of local purchases to ensure it meets quantity requirements & quality standards & they are used accurately where needed.

Allocate tasks across the team & create roaster for the technical team to ensure efficiency in work across all shifts.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and systems.

Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among team members.

Manage the day-to-day team requirements & concerns (including annual leaves, sick leaves, etc.)

Evaluate the performance of the technical team and design/deliver trainings when needed.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to mechanical systems and equipment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
