Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design and review firefighting systems such as:
Fire hydrant system
Sprinkler system
Fire hose reel system
Fire pump room
Foam system (if applicable)
Design and review fire alarm systems including:
Addressable fire alarm system
Conventional fire alarm system
Emergency lighting & exit signs
Voice evacuation system
Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and material submittals.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and project teams.
Ensure compliance with NFPA, BS standards, and Oman Civil Defence requirements.
Supervise installation at site.
Conduct testing & commissioning of fire alarm and firefighting systems.
Prepare method statements, ITP, and O&M manuals.
Attend inspections with Civil Defence and consultants.
Troubleshoot system faults and provide technical support.
Estimate materials and prepare BOQ if required.
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
6–8 years experience in firefighting and fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of NFPA standards.
Experience with Oman Civil Defence approval process preferred.
Experience in testing & commissioning.
AutoCAD knowledge required.
Good communication and report writing skills.
Oman Driving License preferred.
Preferred System Knowledge
Fire Alarm Panels (Notifier, Siemens, Honeywell, GST, Zeta etc.)
Fire Pumps (Electric, Diesel, Jockey pump)
Sprinkler & Hydrant systems
Clean agent systems (FM200 / Novec)
