Position

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Description

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of soil investigation drilling equipment.

• Manage and optimize the inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring timely

procurement and availability.

• Supervise a team of technicians and mechanics, assigning tasks and ensuring quality and safety

standards are met.

• Plan and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

• Diagnose mechanical failures and lead troubleshooting and repair activities, both in workshop and

field environments.

• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards in all maintenance operations.

• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts usage.

• Support operations by ensuring drilling equipment is in optimal condition and ready for deployment.

• Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics and support staff.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment, preferably in

geotechnical, mining, or drilling industries.

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, rotating equipment, and rig components.

• Experience managing spare parts inventory.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Skills: -

• Familiarity with soil investigation techniques and geotechnical equipment.

• Ability to work in field and remote environments as needed
