Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer with experience in Solar PV projects, responsible for the design and execution of mounting structures, tracker systems, and mechanical installations. The role requires coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and development of module mounting structures (MMS) for solar PV plants

  • Engineering and optimization of tracker systems (fixed tilt / single-axis trackers)

  • Supervision of mechanical installation activities at site

  • Conduct structural analysis and load calculations (wind load, dead load, etc.)

  • Selection of appropriate materials and components based on project requirements

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety guidelines

  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, and project teams for smooth execution

  • Support procurement team with technical specifications and vendor evaluation

Technical Requirements

  • Experience in solar mounting structures and tracker systems

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Structural design principles

    • Material selection and durability

    • Thermal expansion considerations

Knowledge of site installation practices and supervision

Software Skills

  • SolidWorks

  • AutoCAD

  • PVsyst (basic knowledge preferred)

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience Required: 5 10 years

Solar PV Experience: 2 4 years preferred

Education: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
